Features of wood plastic composite products

Some features of the wood-plastic composites include:

1. Waterproof: The water absorption of the wood itself is as high as 8%-10%, but after the surface treatment of the wood plastic, a polymer film is formed on the surface, and the wood plastic is also tightly coated with the polymer material, and the test result indicates that the water absorption rate of the material is less than 2% and has certain waterproof performance.

2. Excellent flame retardant performance: This is related to the molecular structure of polyvinyl chloride in the material. Because of the molecular structure of PVC, the content of chlorine is as high as 56%, and the chlorine itself has the function of self-extinguishing from fire.

3. Good anti-mildew performance: After the surface treatment of wood plastic, it is coated with polymer material at the same time, and the mold lacks the environment for breeding; in the process of treatment, the surface of the wood plastic is adsorbed with anti-fungal agent, which also improves the anti-mildew property of the product. 

4. Strong woody feeling: The wood powder content in the wood-plastic composite material can reach 55%-60%, with natural woody feel, and can be adjusted with various colors to avoid the trouble of color difference.

5. Corrosion resistance: The wood itself has poor corrosion resistance, but is coated with a polymer material, and the polyvinyl chloride itself has good acid-base inertness.

6. Practicality: wood plastic materials can produce products of different grades, different specifications and different colors according to different wood species and colors. Since the production process adopts the mailing molding, automatic continuous production can be realized, and the length can be arbitrarily determined, which is impossible for logs.
